Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2017 will be conducted in two papers - Paper-1 (B. E./B.Tech) and Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.)

Aspirants can opt for either Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) or Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.), or for both the papers as per the programmes they want to take admission in.

JEE Main 2017 Paper 1:

JEE Main 2017 paper 1 will have questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Type of questions: Paper 1 will have objective type questions where candidates have to choose 1 correct answer out of the four options.

Marking scheme:

4 marks will be awarded for each correct response

1/4th marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer

No marks will be deducted if a candidate has not marked any answer option

JEE Main 2017 Paper 2:

JEE Main 2017 paper 2 will have questions from Mathematics (part 1), Aptitude Test (Part 2) and Drawing Test (Part 3).

JEE Advanced 2017 Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2017 is a set of eligibility requirements needed to be fulfilled by the aspiring candidates in order to be considered eligible for appearing and applying for JEE Advanced 2017. The eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2017 includes several aspects related to age limit, qualifying exam, marks and percentage in qualifying exam, number of attempts, etc. All Indian as well as foreign nationals are required to meet each one of the following five eligibility criteria to appear in JEE Advanced 2017. IIT Madras will conduct JEE Advanced 2017 for foreign nationals in 8 countries including five SAARC nations - Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
